Personal
A lot! All terrain biking, horse riding, building and flying (power)kites together with Rebecca, kite buggying. Cooking (Italian). Design and construction of furniture in line with my main interest in art: the Dutch De Stijl movement (Mondriaan, van Doesburg, Rietveld etcetera). Music which varies from classical (Monteverdi, Pergolesi) to contemporary classical (favourite composers Simeon Ten Holt, Louis Andriessen, Steve Reich) to salsa/latin jazz (Ruben Blades) to plain jazz (Keith Jarret) to pop (Little Feat and most of all Van - the man - Morrison). And of course I read a lot. Subjects: arts, philosophy, contemporary Anglo-Saxon fiction like Jim Harrison, Cormac McCarthy, Ian McEwan, Paul Auster, Ann Patchett ... Having improved my German during my stint at Jacobs, I can add f.i., Frank Schätzing and Pascal Mercier.
